The Blue Ridge Parkway, a 469-mile two lane roadway, follows the Appalachian Mountain chain through Virginia and North Carolina – providing a spectacular, scenic drive. From Shenandoah National Park, the Parkway follows the Blue Ridge Mountains through the southern end of the Black Mountains and ends in the Great Smokies. The roads take you close to breathtaking places of beauty and history. A series of parks and recreational sites are a major draw of the Parkway.
