Rolling farmland and gentle wooded hills of Johnny Appleseed fame dominate the landscape and make antique hunts and auctions events for everyone to enjoy. Specialty shops, horseshows, ice cream socials, classic car shows, an antique tractor and engine show, farmers markets and free bandshell concerts make life especially pleasant. Take a walking tour of our historical district and visit the Ashland County Historical Museum.

We host some great events including the Ashland County Fair and Ashland County Farm Tour as well as the Ashland Symphony, Ashland University Theatre, Ashland Regional Ballet and Chautauqua Storytelling Performances.

BalloonFest, one of Ashland’s premier events, is held every year. The Balloon Glow, music, storytelling and stage performances, along with balloon races, make for a fun-filled weekend.
