In the summer, Cleveland, Ohio comes out of hibernation and the streets are full of people enjoying the beautiful weather. It’s the perfect vacation destination in the summer because there are so many great festivals that promise a good time. The Tall Ships Festival: This event is taking place on July 7-11 at the Port of Cleveland dock just north of the Cleveland Browns Stadium. Climb aboard ships to learn all about them and explore the maritime market place and other special events during this educational Cleveland festival. The Cain Park Arts Festival: The festival, July-9-11 will be at Cain Park, 14591 Superior Road, Cleveland Heights. There’s an art exhibit that attracts about 150 exhibitors that show drawings, paintings, jewelry, sculptures and more. There’s also musical acts that attract many listeners such as No Money Down, the FlipSide and the Lenny Russo Band. Also enjoy the gourmet food offerings from the area’s finest restaurants. The Painesville Party in the Park: The party is taking place on July 16-18 in Veteran’s Park, 7 Richmond Street. There will be three stages that will have reggae, jazz, folk, soul and funk bands playing continuously throughout the day and night. The beer garden offers domestic and micro brews and there’s plenty of shopping, demonstrations and activities for the kids. This is a free event that starts at noon on Friday and ends at 11:00pm on Sunday.

The Cuyahoga County Fair: The fair runs August 9-15 at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds, 164 Eastland Road, Berea. Attendees can expect 20 midway rides, 100 food stands, animals, exhibits, bull riding, country music, arts and crafts, a beer garden, shops, a demolition derby and fireworks. Don’t miss out on the variety of activities this event has to offer for the whole family on your Ohio summer vacation.

The Feast of the Assumption: This special event will be taking place in Little Italy August 12-15. There will be entertainment, rides and games and don’t forget to come hungry because you won’t want to miss the delicious food provided by the area’s best restaurants.
