Lincoln County is conveniently located in southern middle Tennessee between Interstate 65 and Interstate 24. Downtown Fayetteville, the county seat boasts many irresistible antique and gifts shops as well as an art gallery, boutiques, old fashioned movie theater, both casual and fine dining. You can even dine in a jail cell!

Home of the Famous Slawburger… This slaw is so unique we had to have a street festival to celebrate it! Held the third Saturday in April, attendees can enter the sanctioned Slawburger Eating Contest, enjoy live music throughout the day as well and Street Food, Shopping and More! Join us for a slawburger and experience it for yourself!

The county is rich in both Frontier and Civil War History Lincoln County and is the home of numerous historical landmarks such as the Old Stone Bridge, which stood for 108 years across the Elk River. The bridge, which was such an important part of Lincoln County, is now remembered with a replica and city park named in its honor located diagonally across the intersection from its original location. Camp Blount Historical Site, opened in 2020, celebrates the muster of TN Volunteers with General Andrew Jackson before leaving to defeat the Creek Indians at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend. Volunteer Days with Historic Demonstrations, Blacksmithing, Cannon Fire and more are held annually the last weekend of September.

Host of Christmas Past – Christmas themed street festival center around downtown Fayetteville. This festival, held the second full weekend of November since 1992, attracts thousands of visitors to enjoy shopping, great food, on Saturday; old-fashioned carriage rides, crafts, activities for the kids, cemetery stroll, storytelling, live musical performances during the afternoon, a candlelight walking tour down some of Fayetteville’s historic streets and much, much more!

Venture out to the beautiful rolling hills of the countryside and visit two distilleries – Prichard’s Distillery and Southern Pride Distillery. Just up the road visit beautiful Petersburg for more shops and eateries.

There is something for everyone in Fayetteville-Lincoln County. Come for a visit…you may just want to stay!
