Summertime and the fun is just beginning at the Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad in the Oil Heritage Region of Pennsylvania. The season begins on Saturday, June 5 and you can catch the train at the Perry Street Station, 409 S. Perry Street, Titusville, PA every Saturday and Sunday for a 1:00 pm departure.

Enjoy a trip through Oil Creek State Park on this vintage train that is pulled by an Alco S-2 diesel engine and includes the only operating railway post office car in the U.S. You can mail a post card back home to yourself or to your loved ones that couldn’t make the trip this weekend.

Starting in July the train will run on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 pm. You can either bring your lunch or eat it on the train or you can purchase a box lunch to take with you.

The Perry Street Station of the Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad is now the official visitor center in Titusville. Inside the station you will find a complete section on the Queen City of
Titusville and how the railroad and the oil industry worked together in the early 1860s.

And if you would like to stay overnight in unique lodging, The Caboose Motel is adjacent to the train station. They have 21 cabooses from various railroads that have been renovated into an overnight lodging facility. Some of them have bay windows and the others have cupolas so you can see the sky at night and early morning. Each room is self-contained with its own heat & air conditioning, shower, telephone, television and WIFI service for business or leisure Pennsylvania vacation go-ers.

Special Murder Mystery Dinner/Train Rides are available the last Saturday of July and August and every Saturday during September. Come find out “who dun it”. This is a great way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or graduation.

The Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad is located one block from downtown Titusville and only five minutes from Drake Well Museum.
