Indiana isn’t really known for its wine country, but with over 40 wineries across the state, perhaps it should be.

Most of Indiana’s wineries are located in the south west portion of the state, and many are in close enough proximity for a day of wine touring. Each winery has its own unique atmosphere, wine selections, and events.

During the month of November, visit Lanthier Winery for their annual Cranberry Grande’ Sale, the perfect time to try their speciality Cranberry wine. Another winery to visit is the award winning Chateau Thomas Winery for a host of fall events, including a Christmas Concert in November.

If you happen to travel to Indiana next year, you’ll want to attend the Swiss Wine Festival. This annual event celebrates the cultural heritage of Switzerland County, Indiana, and its wine making history. Events include a grape stomp, live entertainment, and fun for the whole family.

Next time you travel to Indiana, make sure to check out one of their many wineries, and see all that Indiana has to offer!
