Visit Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky for an Exciting Vacation

Since 1816, Mammoth Cave has been astounding visitors with its enormity and incredible natural wonders. With over 350 explored miles, Mammoth Cave is the longest cave system in the world, and is the #1 tourist attraction in Kentucky. A vacation here is an exciting and unique experience. Cave tours are available year-round and range from 30 minutes to 6 1/2 hours. Each tour covers different areas and focuses on different aspects and landmarks of the cave. Some offer truly unique experiences, such as the Violet City Lantern Tour, which is a 3-mile tour by lantern light, recreating what it was like to visit the cave in the 1800’s. For those who are a little more adventurous, you might want to learn some caving basics on the Introduction to Caving Tour, which includes climbing, descending, and crawling through small spaces.
