This Winter Cozy Up in a Warm Cabin or Chalet Rental

Instead of a hotel or motel room, why not try renting a chalet or cabin for your family instead? Most  cabins and chalets include amenities like a hot tub and/or sauna, a pool, a large deck and grill, a full-size kitchen and dining room, and such incredible views. And a cabin or chalet vacation rental can actually cost less than a hotel room. With these, you have to make sure you get a signed contract and definitely read any fine print as well. If you want to bring your beloved pet, ask how many pets are permitted, if any, and if there is a size limit. Ask how pet friendly the rental is. Ask about rental activities. What kinds of activities are offered and do they cost additional money or are they free to do? Are you seeking a smaller cabin or chalet rental where you have no rental neighbors nearby? Are you looking for a cabin and chalet that is among a large number of other ones in one area, so you can go out and meet other fellow rentals? What about looking for something for adults only or kid friendly? What about a cabin or chalet in a local town with lots of other fun things to do and see on the rental grounds like a pool or tennis court or golfing? Or are you seeking a more remote local experience where driving to the local grocery store is a bit of a drive? For a more affordable rate, try renting it in the off-season or on least popular months/weeks too. In addition, will you have a housekeeper or maintenance person or caretaker who can help you answer questions or concerns during your stay or help you fix anything that breaks? And ask what your responsibilities are – are you responsible for toilet paper and paper towels? How much cleaning are you expected to do before you leave? What are your responsibilities with renting the place for your family? One excellent tip is like any place you rent, to leave the place better than you found it, and then you will definitely be invited back there again soon of course.
