There is a lot do to when you travel to New York’s Finger Lakes, including touring museums, watching auto racing, and enjoying a host of outdoor recreational activities. However, what the Finger Lakes are perhaps most known for, its their wine.
The Finger Lakes region is home to dozens of wineries, and three wine trails to take you along some of the best wineries in the area. This region produces quite a variety, from popular wines such as Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, to sweeter and lesser known varietals like Seyval Blanc and Traminette. You can search wineries by area or type of wine they specialize in. There are also many events throughout the year, including the Finger Lakes Wine Festival, which bring attention to different wineries and offers more than just the standard wine tasting.
