Blessed with numerous natural and cultural resources, Wayne County, TN proudly maintains its essentially rural character. Located at the junction of the Western Highland Rim and the Tennessee River Valley, it is largely forested area with highlands separating the Buffalo and Tennessee River watersheds and numerous other hills and ridges; flat lands are largely confined to the river valleys and the southern sections.
