Our back country roads are a kaleidoscope of color and activity during the spring months:  Farm animals with their young grazing in fields of new green grass. Yellow daffodils and red tulips blooming in lovingly tended Amish gardens. Amish farmers out plowing their fields with teams of work horses under sunny blue skies. Fluffy pancakes dripping with golden maple syrup from a local sugar shack. Hedges of fragrant purple lilacs bordering rough split-rail fences. Amish roadside stands and shops overflowing with fresh homegrown red strawberries and rhubarb, golden peach jam, colorful handcrafted rugs and quilts, woven baskets, handmade furniture, fun wooden toys and yummy goats milk fudge.
