Barnwell County is a beautiful and scenic destination, full of history and cultural heritage. It is part of the Rivers, Rails, and Crossroads region of the SC Heritage Corridor.
One place you’ll want to visit while in Barnwell County is God’s Acre Healing Springs, located just outside of Blackville. This history and legend of this natural spring date back to 1771, where wounded British soldiers were nursed back to health with water from the spring.
