Summertime and the fun is just beginning at the Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad in the Oil Heritage Region of Pennsylvania. The season begins on Saturday, June 5 and you can catch the train at the Perry Street Station, 409 S. Perry Street, Titusville, PA every Saturday and Sunday for a 1:00 pm departure.
Enjoy a trip through Oil Creek State Park on this vintage train that is pulled by an Alco S-2 diesel engine and includes the only operating railway post office car in the U.S. You can mail a post card back home to yourself or to your loved ones that couldn’t make the trip this weekend.
Starting in July the train will run on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 pm. You can either bring your lunch or eat it on the train or you can purchase a box lunch to take with you.

Put-in-Bay, Ohio is a village located on South Bass Island in Put-in-Bay Township, Ottawa County. The village is a popular summer resort and recreational destination for Ohioans and others around the country. A ferry connects Put-in-Bay island vacationers to other Lake Erie islands including Catawba Island and Kelley’s Island as well as Port Clinton and Sandusky, Ohio.
An $8 ferry ride from the mainland takes you to Put-in-Bay, where there’s plenty of activities to choose. Rent a golf cart and ride around the island for the day or rent jet skis, jet boats, power boats and kayaks for a fun day in the water surrounding the island. You can also visit one of the many tourist attractions of Put-in-Bay Island such as the Aquatic Visitor Center, the Antique Car Museum (free admission), The Butterfly House, Perry’s Cave where you can go gem stone mining, or Heineman’s Winery.
